My duties included: Managing the health and education umbrella program SSRP/A of the MCI in Albania. Assisting the Chief of Party in the overall management of the work in Albania. Participation in the decision making process for selecting the possible sub-grantees/program implementers. Monitoring and evaluating the work done by the international sub-grantees. Writing reports and presenting them to the donor (United States Agency for International Development - USAID).

Jul. ’99 – Dec. ’99 Deputy Director – Manager of the “ABC Project”
My duties included: Project writing, fund raising, data collection, representing the organization to donors and partners, negotiating, leading a pilot project which introduced the decentralization process in the health system of Albania. Co-writer of the law on decentralization which was proposed to the Albanian Parliament.

Mar. ’99 – Jul. ’99 Training Manager
Organize training programs for Albanian doctors and nurses of the “Emergency Mobile Teams“ which served all Kosovo refugees hosted in Albania. Coordinated the training courses for Gynecologists, Obstetricians, Pediatrics, Dermatologist and Infections Disease specialists.

Nov. ’98 – Mar. ’99 Medical Manager
Assisted the Country Director in planning and organizing all medical activities of IMC–Albania. Managed and organized the Emergency Mobile Teams to provide emergency medical care to Kosovo refuges. When needed, participated in the Mobile Teams as ad hoc replacement for missing doctors.

Mar. ’98 – Nov. ’98 Co-Founder of IMC-Albania
Participated in founding and setting up the IMC office in Albania. Kept finance and filing systems. Initially participated and later represented the organization in meetings with government, possible partners and donors. Translated needed materials English-Albanian and via versa. Collected necessary data and information to start up and develop new programs for the expected refugees from Kosovo.
